Kathi Klaas

Mrs. Klaas was raised in a small town in Southwest Wisconsin, in the village of Ithaca, on a dairy farm with her six siblings. Her parents were very active Catholics in their local parish and she attended Madonna Grade School for six years. She attended Ithaca High School from grades 7-12. Her undergraduate degree was from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, and she received her graduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 1995. Prior to becoming an elementary school principal, Kathi taught grades ranging from K-5. Her husband Greg and she have three children and 5 grandchildren.  Mrs. Klaas loves the Catholic Faith and her prayer is for all the St. Peter children and their families to grow in their Catholic Faith and to love Christ with their whole heart, soul and mind!


Nancy Meinholz
Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Nancy Meinholz-Grew up in the Green Bay area until she went to college in Madison.  Met and married her husband Marvin in 1982 and together they have 4 children, Jeff (Michelle) and son Cillian live near Houston, TX; Kevin (Cassie) and son Hudson live in Eau Claire, WI; Barry lives at home in Cross Plains and works at Terry's Piggly Wiggly in Cross Plains; and Tricia recently graduated from MATC and moved back home.  She also works in Black Earth.  Tricia was born with a profound hearing loss so their family learned sign language as she grew and their grandson Hudson is learning sign language now.    

Most of Mrs. Meinholz's jobs in the past have been administrative but she also drove school bus for 20 years and is the Town of Cross Plains clerk since 2011.  She continues to do a lot of work for the deaf and hard of hearing by volunteer work and was employed for several years by DPI in the capacity of helping newly diagnosed families with deaf or hard of hearing. She has worked at St. Peter Catholic School since 2010 and enjoy the kids and families very much.  She shows her love for Christ in the way that she extends love and hospitality to everyone she meets.


Cassie Kelly

Mrs. Cassie Kelly grew up in Port Huron, Michigan with three siblings and very supportive parents. Her undergraduate degree is from the University of Dallas in Elementary Education. She taught fourth grade for a year in Irving, Texas before moving to Chicago, where she taught preschool at a Catholic school for five years. Cassie attended a graduate program at the University of Notre Dame to obtain her English as a Second Language license in 2014, and was an ESL teacher in Sun Prairie for a year prior to coming to St. Peter Catholic School. She lives in Marshall with her husband.

Andrea Beres


Miss Andrea Beres was raised in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and attended St. Mary’s Springs Academy from grades K-12. Miss Beres is thankful to have recently graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison in spring 2015 with an Elementary and Special Education degree. Outside of her college work and student teaching, Miss Beres enjoyed learning more about Jesus through being a St. Paul's student leader on the UW campus, leading retreats, teams, and attending bible studies. She has also enjoyed being a catechist for children ranging from PreK-8th grade. Outside of her interests of spending time with family/friends, knitting, cooking, and reading books at coffeeshops, Miss Beres is passionate about leading children closer to Jesus and igniting the fire for children to strive for sainthood. She is looking forward to what God has in store for the school year, and she is thankful for the opportunity to be apart of the St. Peter’s community!

Kelly Zertler
Kindergarten and Grade 1

Mrs. Kelly Zertler was blessed to grow up in Simi Valley, California with supportive & loving family. She has been a passionate teacher since her teaching classes began in 2004 starting with the completion of her Bachelors Degree at California State University Channel Islands. Upon graduating she received Post Graduate instruction in teaching and in theology. Mrs. Zertler enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends. Her interests include traveling, dancing, hiking, cooking, and baking, as well as participating in sports, outdoor and church activities. Her passions include teaching and ministry, previously founding a Young Adults Group in Simi Valley and attending World Youth Day in Sydney Australia in 2008. She is thrilled to be at St. Peters and teach students about their Catholic faith. She strives to show students how to live an incredible life with Christ!

Meagan Simmons

Mrs. Maegan Simmons is a wife and mother to a sweet baby boy. She is a 2013 graduate of the University of Wisconsin- Madison with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. She has been an educator at St. Peter's since 2013 as a 2nd/3rd grade teacher. She is excited to assume her new role as resource teacher in order to work with students individually and assist teachers in their needs.


Meredith Willman
Second and Third Grades 

Mrs. Meredith Willman is originally from Saint Paul, Minnesota where she attended The Convent of the Visitation. She majored in Elementary and Special Education with a minor in Spanish and focus on Catholic Studies at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. Following graduation, she began her teaching career at St. Columbkille Elementary School teaching third grade. Mrs. Willman enjoys spending time with her husband, Tyler, and puppy, Briggs. She also likes to go hiking, travel, exercise, try new restaurants, and spend time with family. Mrs. Willman feels so blessed to be welcomed as a part of the St. Peter community and is very excited to embark on the journeys God has planned for our class this year!

Sarah Spielbauer
Fourth and Fifth Grades

Mrs. Sarah Spielbauer lives in Waunakee with her husband, Dave, dog, and cat.  Dave is a Senior Claims Professional at CUNA Mutual Group. She is originally from West Bend Wisconsin where she attended West Bend West High School. Following high school she attended Edgewood College, which is where she met her husband.  For the last few years Sarah has worked in the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District.  Mrs. Spielbauer loves spending time with her husband, Libby (dog), and Phoebe (cat), going to zoos, and traveling.  She is excited to be a part of St. Peter's School and is looking forward to spreading God's message and love with her students this year! 


Dustin Ambort
Physical Education Instructor

Mr. Dustin Ambort lives in Elroy, WI with  wife Casey and two sons; Hudson who will be 2 in September and Carson who was born in July. This will be his 6th year teaching physical education. He also taught at Sacred Heart School in Reedsburg. When he is not teaching, he enjoys playing sports and board games. He is an avid sports fan and roots for all Wisconsin sports teams. He's looking forward getting to know and working with the families of St. Peter Catholic School.


LoriAnn Meinholz
Music Instructor

As a music educator, I am honored to share my love of music with my students. I am passionate about learning the impact music has on the brain and I believe students should participate in music activities starting at a young age establishing a love for music early. By teaching in a Catholic school, we are able to incorporate music into many of our school activities, strengthening the connection between music and everyday life.



Amber Dahnke
Art Instructor

Ms Amber Dahnke lives in New Glarus with her husband, Dean, and two children. Dean works at a downtown law firm as an IT support person.Her oldest son,  Davis is in 2nd grade this year and Piper is in 1st grade at New Glarus Elementary. Amber also works as part-time art teacher at St. John the Evangelist Elementary school in Spring Green one day a week. She has taught at St. John's one year, and in addition has experience teaching at the high school level, and in a daycare setting. She grew up in Michigan, Nebraska and Wisconsin Dells, received her BS in Art degree from UW-Madison and her Art Education license from UW-Whitewater in 2003. She owned a gift shop in New Glarus, and was a stay-at-home mom with an in-home daycare before getting back into the classroom. 


Amanda Carlson

Food Service Coordinator/After School Care Coordinator

I have 3 children at St. Peter Catholic School. Abria, 5th grade, Chaya, 1st grade and Eliam, 4K. I live in Madison and have had experience running my own daycare for 9 years where I did meal planning and participated in the Federal Food Program. I also work at American Girl during their busy season. I graduated from MATC and have had a variety of jobs since 2001 from secretarial to housekeeping to property management. I am excited about my positions at St. Peter’s because they allow me to utilize my passion for healthy food and my love for children and to support the wonderful families and staff!


Cecile Gregory
Piano Instructor

I have an undergraduate degree in music education and a graduate degree in piano performance; have taught since in college, so for 41 years; served as an adjudicator for The National Guild of Piano Teachers. My joys are in private piano instruction, and in musical performance and liturgical work for the Catholic Church!


Mr. Jeff Unger
